Mayor's Employment Pilot

The Mayor's Employment Pilot is an innovative scheme running in Newham that offers intensive support to long term unemployed residents.
The key aim of this Pilot is to help residents who are afraid of losing their benefits to get a job. If you are a resident of Newham, long term unemployed and worried about being worse off if you work, the team are keen to meet you to discuss your circumstances.

If you choose to join the Pilot, you will be introduced to a Workcoach, who will help you work out how to get the job that's right for you, and support you through every stage of the process.

You will also have a meeting with the Pilot's dedicated benefit advice team, who can offer independent and impartial advice about how returning to work might impact on your finances. This includes considering expenses like travel, childcare, clothing for work and prescriptions.

You may be eligible to receive come extra financial support to help meet your housing costs.

To find out more, call Workplace on 020 8490 4331 and ask for a Workcoach. Alternatively, drop in at Workplace, 64 Broadway, Stratford, London, E15 1NT (next to Lloyds Bank) between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
