Is childcare available for my child while I attend a Family Learning or Parental Involvement session?

Where possible we provide free Crèche provision at the same centre that is running a Family Leaning or Parental Involvement course. For further details please contact the Family Learning team on 020 84729134.

Am I eligible to attend the Newham Summer and Holiday School schemes?

Newham's Summer and Holiday School are open to all 8-18 year olds who either live in Newham, attend a school in Newham or have a parent/carer who work in Newham. For further details please contact the Summer and Holiday School team on 020 84306528.

Am I eligible to attend Saturday Schools?

Primary School students in Years 5 and 6 are able to attend Saturday Schools, where their linked Secondary School runs a Saturday School. For further details on Saturday Schools and where you are able to attend, please contact the Secondary Schools directly.

How does my child get a place on a Playing for Success programme?

Every school has the opportunity to attend the Playing for Success programme and teachers then target those young people in years 5-8 who they feel would benefit most from attending. Parents can find out from schools whether they have a place at a Playing for Success centre and whether it is possible for their child to participate.
