What will I find in my leisure guide?
Your leisure guide contains all you need to know about activity programmes, course dates and enrolment, pricing information, membership options and benefits, school holiday dates, leisure centre opening times and contact details, as well as function and roomhire and club information, all of which relates to GLL leisure centres in the London Borough of Newham.
Who is Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL)?
GLL is a charitable leisure management organistion that operates our leisure centres on our behalf. It is not just another leisure company, but a social enterprise that aims to provide long term benefits for customers, employees and the community. As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus generated from running Newhams leisure centres is reinvested back into them. How does my child get access to free swimming?
By registering for the free Newham Gold Card children under 17 can access free swimming during the school holidays. more...
What is the cost of membership?
There are various memberhsip packages, including 'Pay asYou Go'. Prices of memberhsips are in the Leisure Centre Guide which is available to download on the leisure centres home page.
How do Newham's leisure centre prices compare to other boroughs?
Newham's leisure centre fees and charges are constantly under review by the council. In 2004 Newham's facility charges were -5.4% below the cross-London average.
I am a woman and I would prefer to exercise with only other women, is there anything I can attend?
Yes, all our leisure centres offer women only sessions. Please see the leisure centre guide for specific times.
Do the centres offer any discounts or concessionary prices?
We provide discounted memberships to priority groups (concessionary) those being on income support, health benefit, council tax benefit, job seekers allowance, working tax credit, incapacity benefit or severe disablement allowance, asylum seekers, senior citizens (60years+) and full time students living or studying in the borough.
Where can I find the Group Exercise programme?
Group Exercise programmes are available from your local leisure centre reception. You can also log onto www.gll.org where you will find Group Exercise programmes for all leisure centres in the borough.more...
How do I make a complaint?
By completing a GLL customers suggestions and complaints forms found in each centre. GLL will respond to your complaint within 10 working days. Alternatively you can fill out a Newham Council complaints form which can also be found in each centre.
