Stratford Library Reading Group

The Stratford Library Reading Group meets every second Monday of the month from 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Share your favourite books, discover new writers and enjoy great reads in a relaxed environment at your local library. Come along and help choose future titles.

July's book
The Madonnas of Leningrad by Debra Dean

August's book
For August 11th readers can choose any travel writing book to read and then bring along to the group and tell us about it.

September's book
The Pirate's Daughter by Margaret Cezair-Thompson
A Richard & Judy Summer Read 2008 choice. Billed as 'the thinking person's beach read', this novel spins off a story of a mother and her illegitimate daughter from the true story of matinee idol Errol Flynn's unlikely arrival in Jamaica.

October's book
Mister Pip by Lloyd Jones
Best Book Winner of 2007 Commonwealth Writer's prize & Shortlisted for Man Booker Prize 2007.

November's book
The Road Home by Rose Tremain
Winner of the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction 2008.
