Library Services for Young People

Games Clubs

Newham Libraries run Games Clubs in 4 libraries (Manor Park, Custom House, East Ham and Beckton). The clubs are run by library staff and are free of charge. They operate on an open access basis.
Games Clubs are run throughout the year weekly at 4 libraries (with the exception of Beckton club which is closed over the summer break). The sessions are two hours long and are aimed at children between the aged of 8-13.

In addition to the afternoon clubs, Custom House and Manor Park also opens up on their closed day when the Games Clubs are extended to a whole day during summer holidays.

The purpose of these clubs is to provide fun activities for children and young people, by providing PS2, Xbox, Nintendo Wii consoles and traditional board games. The clubs also provide resources such as magazines and arts & crafts material.
