Newham Libraries run Homework Clubs in all 10 static libraries.
The clubs are run by library staff and are free of charge. They
operate on an open access basis.

Custom House, East Ham and Beckton). The clubs are run by library

Toy Libraries are run at Beckton and East Ham Libraries.
Children and parents/carers are able to borrow two toys at once
with their library card to take home and use for two
weeks.

Free Club for 13-21 year olds, every Fridays 6pm - 8pm, The
Library @ The Gate.

Reading Groups allow children aged 5-12 to share their love of
reading and enjoy quizzes, competitions and visits from
authors.

Toddlers and preschool children need tactile and interactive
activities to develop. Hands on messy play such as painting,
sticking or sand/water play are important ways for a child to
develop their physical, cognitive and social skills. Participating
in messy play activities is not only great fun but it helps a
child's development.

Imaginative Play sessions incorporate playing make-believe that
lets a child bring the complicated grown-up world down to
size.

Are you going for gold this summer? By joining the summer
reading scheme this year; Team Read, you will get to read fun,
exciting books and pick up amazing freebies. These include an
amazing 'moving image' membership card, fold-out chart and stickers
and much, much more.

of our libraries, and if you are under the age of 17, all our
services are free.

week (Stratford library runs two sessions per week).
