Local Development Framework
Supplementary
Planning Documents
Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD's)
will be developed in line with the LDF process, and will be similar
to our current Supplementary Planning Guidance.
SPD's are non statutory documents and once prepared will
elaborate on and give further guidance to the Development Plan
Documents of the Local Development Framework. SPD's will be
prepared to give guidance on the following issues:
- Affordable Housing
- Residential Design Guidance
- Section 106 Contributions
- Sustainability Checklist
- Car Free Development
- Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
- Thameside West Development Framework
It is anticipated that these will be prepared and adopted by us in
February 2008. Until these documents are adopted, existing
Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG's) will continue to inform
decision making.
Current SPD's
The
Canning Town and Custom House Supplementary
Planning Document was adopted on 17th July 2008 by the
London Borough of Newham.
