What is the Local Development Framework (LDF)?
The LDF is a folder of documents which will set the scene for the development and regeneration of the borough over the next 20 years. It is made up of a series of Development Plan Documents (DPD's). A diagram of LDF documents can be downloaded from DOCUMENTS section on the right hand side.
What are Development Plan Documents (DPD's)?
DPD's form the statutory plan which sets out the borough's vision, strategy and policies. They are subject to extensive community involvement, consultation and independent examination.
What is the The Local Development Scheme (LDS)?
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the timetable necessary to deliver the LDF (based on a three-year programme).
