Local Land Charges
On Line Searches:
National Land Information Service
Solicitors can send full searches to us
through the National Land Information Service (NLIS)
Hub.
NLIS provide this service for a fee. A solicitor submits a full
search to NLIS who redirect the documentation to the correct
borough.
Currently Newham are Level 2 compliant which means that we accept
full searches electronically from NLIS, but we send the completed
search back through the post.
NLIS are supported by the e-Government strategy and councils are
working towards Level 3 compliance, which will allow full searches
to be completed and return electronically.
We are working towards this goal and in the future we hope to
provide a fully automated service for full
searches. |
