Local Service Centres

Our Partners

We actively ensure that the Local Service Centres (LSCs) continue to meet the needs of our customers.
We are continually in discussion with other departments on how to develop and implement new services to benefit of our visitors.

The Local Service Centres have become an integral part of Newham's ambitious move toward making this a borough where its residents will want to live and work as part of the '2010 Vision'.

A major step to achieving this is the social inclusion of the people that live in the borough. As part of this initiative, we have formed and established several extremely important and successful partnerships with other council departments, voluntary and statutory agencies.

Council surgeries

Below is a list of surgeries available within some of the LSCs:
  • Age Concern
  • Citizen Advice Bureau (Welfare Benefits)
  • Councillors and MP Surgeries
  • Department of Work & Pensions (over 60's)
  • Rent Arrears

The Local Service Centres continue to embark on a refurbishment programme which focuses on providing customers with a modern and spacious interior as well as ensuring all our customers have equal access to council services by complying with the Disability Discrimination Act.
