Objectives of the
Unit
Summaries of the six core objectives for
the Member Services Unit.
Key objective one To support and
develop the Council's decision making structure and
partnerships.
Key objective two To develop the capacity of
Members to undertake their varied roles.
Key objective three To develop new services
to support Members representational roles and to raise their
profile in the community.
Key Objective Four To review existing
services to ensure:
(a) they are relevant and customer focused and
(b) respond to relevant research findings and consultation with
the community and service users.
Key objective five To ensure services comply
with the law and Best Value.
Key objective six To attain equal
opportunities and diversity in service provision and staff
