Noise and Vibration Pollution

The Pollution Control Unit works to reduce levels of excessive levels of domestic and industrial noise. Noise can be defined as unwanted sound, that is any sound that causes annoyance or disturbance. Noise is one of the biggest sources of complaints about environmental pollution and can affect the quality of life for people in thier homes. Noise pollution can be difficult to deal with as what is 'noise' is highly subjective and the time that it occurs may be as important as its loudness.
