Out of Hours Support
The Emergency Duty
Team
Our Emergency Duty Team operates outside
normal office hours, including evenings, overnight, weekends and
Bank Holidays.
We provide an emergency service for children and
families, older people and people with disabilities.
All members of the team are qualified and experienced social
workers and are also Approved Social Workers who can carry out
emergency assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983.
We have at least one and often two workers on duty at all times. We
consider an emergency to be anything that cannot wait until the
next working day.
