How do I set up a Direct Debit?
You can use the
Direct Debit for Council Tax online form to
set up a Direct Debit.
Alternatively, download the relevant PDF form:
Print the form and fill in your details, then post the form to
us (the address is on the form). Once we receive the form, we will
automatically send you a schedule showing the amounts to be
collected and confirming the monthly collection date.
You choose when to pay:
- You can pay your Council Tax on either the 1st, 15th or
28th
- You can also choose whether to pay your annual Council Tax bill
in 10 or 12 instalments
- You can pay your Housing Rent on either the 1st or 15th of each
month.

No bank account? Don't worry, it's easy.
If you don't have a bank account or even if you have never had a
bank account, no problem! High street banks have now set up "basic
accounts" which are specially tailored for people starting from
scratch or re-starting bank accounts.
