Crossrail is a project to promote and develop a new railway route through London. It aims to boost London's integrated transport network and reduce overcrowding on other lines.
Although the tunnels are completed and the new Stratford International station is complete, there are still some works to finalise.
Works are underway to extend the City Airport DLR line to Woolwich Arsenal and to create a new line from Canning Town to Stratford.
Bonfires should not be used on any construction or demolition sites.
Construction or demolition activities will often generate noise, dust or vibration and this may be a problem if the site is near to existing residential accommodation.
Dust from demolition and construction work can also damage health and impact upon quality of life by leaving deposits on cars, windows and property.
