Orange Bag Doorstep
Recycling Scheme
Recycling in Newham is now easy and
convenient thanks to the Orange Recycling Bags delivered directly
to your door.
Type of bags
There are two sizes of bags available.
- Small bags for flats with chutes - Residents
living in medium to high-rise blocks (four stories and over) with
chutes will be given small "shopping-bag sized" orange bags. These
orange bags can be placed down the chutes along with your refuse.
Please take care not to overfill the bags and block the
chutes.
- Regular sized bags - Residents with access to
communal bin rooms will be given large orange bags. Orange bags can
be placed directly into the communal refuse bins and are separated
at a later stage, there are no separate recycling bins.
Do not use the orange bag for your usual household
waste. If you do, it could increase the cost of dealing
with recyclable waste.
