Regeneration Projects

Stratford Renaissance Partnership

Stratford Renaissance Partnership (SRP) is a not for profit company, helping to coordinate the regeneration of Stratford as it prepares to become the premier metropolitan centre serving East London and beyond. By coordinating and working collectively on both existing and new interventions, SRP will help facilitate Stratford's renaissance.

The extraordinary development of Stratford is one of the largest multi-functional expansions planned in the UK. Over the next 15 years a new retail centre will be built with over 250 shops. There will be a new commercial district with landmark towers, hotels and modern leisure facilities. New urban districts will accommodate thousands of new residents and many more attracted to work in the area. Stratford today is an area of great opportunity and potential and SRP aims to offer the necessary assistance in making it an even greater place to live, work and visit.

Stratford Renaissance Partnership has the following objectives:

  1. To secure a common strategic direction from all SRP partners to realise an agreed vision for Stratford town centre and Stratford High Street that reflects the aspirations of all stakeholders.
  2. To ensure that there is real community engagement and consultation across the work of SRP and its strategic partners.
  3. To guide Stratford's transformation into a sustainable and socially inclusive urban area serving the needs of all communities and interests.
  4. To develop a high quality public realm throughout Stratford by ensuring an integrated approach across the Stratford town centre and High Street and a partnership approach to project development, review and monitoring.
  5. To promote an adopted, integrated masterplan for the Island site, including a strategy for land assembly.
  6. To promote inward investment in Stratford to ensure its long term appeal to business and to protect and enhance its viability as a centre.
  7. To coordinate the relevant local financial commitments of partners, proposed interventions and relevant funding streams to produce a business plan for Stratford's renaissance that will provide confidence and clarity for public and private sector investors.
