Citizenship and Nationality Checking

Information on Citizenship, Citizenship Ceremonies and the Nationality Checking Service...
The Home Office decided in 2003 that all new British citizens over the age of 18 should participate in a ceremony to welcome them to Britain and into their local community rather than just signing a document with a solicitor.

Our Nationality Checking Service is a partnership service between the Home Office Nationality Group and local councils in England and Wales. Its purpose is to make it easier for people to submit applications for British citizenship.
