Information on registering births, stillbirths and baby naming ceremonies...
The birth of your child has to be registered at the district office where the birth took place, within 42 days (6 weeks) of the birth. If your child was born at an address within the London Borough of Newham (including Newham General Hospital) then you should come to the Register Office:

Newham Registration Service
Passmore Edwards Building
207 Plashet Grove
East Ham
London
E6 1BT

The telephone numbers are: 020 8430 3616 or 020 8430 3617.

If your child was born outside Newham you can use this office too if the other office is inconvenient.
