Reporting Anti-Social Behaviour

Supporting Victims of Anti-Social Behaviour

All reports of anti-social behaviour or harassment are taken seriously and the safety of residents and their households is always paramount.
  • Women reporting sexual harassment or domestic violence will be offered an interview with a female member of staff wherever possible
  • An interpreter or sign language interpreter can be arranged if required
  • If you can't visit a council office, for example because of a disability, you can contact us by telephone or through a third party and we will normally make an appointment to visit you at home
  • We will treat all reports of anti-social behaviour as strictly confidential
  • We can arrange for any letters sent to you to be translated into your preferred language
  • We will carry out repairs on the same day, where possible, to council properties damaged as a result of anti-social behaviour
  • Any racist or offensive graffiti will be attended to within 24 hours of it being reported. Non-offensive graffiti will be removed within seven days
  • You will be referred to other agencies for support where appropriate
  • We will carry out an assessment of your home environment to look at what repairs and security measures can be provided for you
