Carers Scrutiny Commission

The Carers Scrutiny Commission is aiming to reach a better understanding of carers in Newham and their needs.
The Commission is looking at how the Council and partners are respondong to their legal duties to carers, what services are available to support carers and how we involve carers in the planning and development of services.

The Commission is hearing from a range of Council service areas, partners and voluntary organisations. The Commission is also speaking to carers themselves to understand what is working well in the way that they are supported and where improvements can be made.
