We have a new, easy to read, Scrutiny
handbook to help you better understand the role of our Overview and
Scrutiny unit.
This publication explains what Scrutiny does and what our
vision is.
Additionally the handbook explains:
- how to get an item on the agenda
- what to expect before you attend a Scrutiny meeting
- contains an explanation of what Scrutiny does and its statutory
and local role in the democratic process
- the changes that previous commissions have brought about
- the work of the Overview and Scrutiny unit.
