Children and Young People Scrutiny Commission

The Children and Young People Scrutiny Commission is a standing commission looking at education and other issues relating to children and young people.
The commission comprises of elected Councillors and co-opted represenatives from the Church of England and Roman Catholic dioceses, parent governors and an other faiths representative of SACRE.

In addition to its agreed work programme, from time to time the commission also looks at ad hoc topics relating to children and young people as they arise. In 2008/09, the commission is focussing on school places and Key Stage 2 performance.
