Hearing Problems - what to do

The first thing to do if you're having problems with your hearing is to contact your GP.
They may want to rule out a blockage, a build up of wax or an infection - all of which can be treated. If none of the above apply, a referral to a specialist / audiologist may be required for a more detailed examination.

An audiologist may recommend a hearing aid to be supplied and fitted. He or she will guide you through the process and demonstrate how to use your aid.

Hearing aid batteries and repairs

NHS hearing aids can be repaired and batteries replaced free of charge, either by post or via collection at a range of health sites in Newham. For further information contact ....
