Newham Gold
Card
Our Gold Card allows residents aged 6-21
years old access to many FREE sporting activities.
If you are aged between 6 and 16 years old, a Gold Card allows
you to swim for FREE at your
local leisure centre during
the school holidays.
If you are aged between 8 and 19 years old the Gold Card allows you
FREE access to professionally coached
sports activities in your local area.
These include:
- Basketball
- Football
- Non-Contact Boxing
- Fencing
- Gymnastics (holiday periods only)
- Street Dance
If you are aged between 17 and 21 years old we provide
twighlight football sessions.
How to apply
The Gold Card is FREE. The easiest way to apply is
by email at
sportsdevelopment@newham.gov.uk
or phone on 020 8430 2484. Alternatively
you can apply online; or pick up an
application from your local leisure centre, one of our
sport sessions, or from our offices:

Fill in the form and send it to the address provided. Once the
registration has been processed your Gold Card will be sent to you
in the post.
We can also process a registration over the phone with a parent or
legal guardian - who must provide details and consent in a set
format. The parent/legal guardian must acknowledge the data
protection statement which is normally read to them.
Who can register for a Gold Card?
The Newham Gold Card is available to Newham residents only.
Residents aged 6-21 years old can register for a Newham Gold
Card.
What activities are there for children under 6 years
old?
Children under five can attend 'Toddlers World', a fun filled
environment designed to challenge and stimulate children through
soft play. Atherton,
Balaam and
Newham leisure centre provide these sessions
(contact centre for times).
How long it will take to arrive?
After applying you should receive your Gold Card within a
week.
What if I loose my Gold Card or it gets
stolen?
You can get a replacement card by contacting our Support
Officers. |
