I can't afford to pay for my child to take part in sports activities is there anything free on offer?
Yes, we have lots of free weekly sports sessions available to young people in the borough through our Estate-Based Sports programme. Please contact Leon O'Sahon on 020 8430 2479
I am a woman and I would prefer to exercise with only other women, is there anything I can attend?
Yes, all our leisure centres offer women only sessions.
What is the Estate-Based Sports Programme?
The Estate-Based Sports Programme is a series of sports sessions for under 17s, held at various venues around the borough. No booking is required just turn up with your Gold Card. Get the latest information from Isa on 020 8430 2484 or Leon Tel: 020 8430 2479 . Please note age restrictions under 17's for most sessions.
My child wants to attend a sport session tomorrow, but they don't have a Gold Card. Can they still attend?
Any child that has not been issued a Gold Card can obtain one from their nearest leisure centre, where it can be issued on the spot. Parental consent is required. For those who will not be able to get a card in time for a session, the card can be processed over the phone and, as a temporary measure, the card number given to the client until it arrives in the post. When the child attends the session, they should take along their Gold Card number.
