Where are the six Town Centres and what is their status?: The six Town Centres are: Stratford - major centre (will become a metropolitan centre once the Stratford City retail development is complete circa 2010); East Ham - major centre; Upton Park - district centre; Forest Gate - district centre; East Beckton - district centre; Canning Town - district centre
