Urban Design and Heritage Conservation

Newham Council aims to improve the attractiveness of the borough through the promotion and maintenance of better buildings and spaces, both old and new. There are currently eight conservation areas and 110 listed buildings within the borough. The Council has also recently set up a Design Review Panel to ensure that new development is of the highest quality.
