Vehicle Removals

Requests for Vehicle Removals

Newham Council's enforcement contractor (Vinci Park UK) has a direct, dedicated phone line for requests for enforcement action, including requests to have vehicles removed.

This contact number is 020 8475 0213 (Monday - Saturday, 7am to 7pm). General requests can be made anonymously.

Examples of when the Council will consider removing a vehicle include: -

  • Parked in a disabled bay without display a valid permit or blue badge
  • Parked across a dropped kerb*
  • Parked on a footway
  • Parked near a junction
  • Parked blocking access to premises*

* Vinci Park UK will not remove a vehicle parked across a resident's/business's dropped kerb or driveway unless the request is made by the resident/owner of the premises in question and they, in turn, will be asked to sign a form confirming that they have requested removal. This is to avoid the removal of genuinely parked vehicles..

Requests to have vehicles removed can only be made to the contact number above between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these times, although a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) may be issued the Council currently does not have the facility to provide a removals service upon request.

Depending upon the circumstances, Vinci Park UK will advise if it is appropriate to deploy a removals truck to the location in question. It is important to note that despite what you consider to be a genuine request, the enforcement service can only remove a vehicle if it has first issued a valid Penalty Charge Notice. If a PCN cannot be issued, the vehicle will not be removed by Vinci Park UK.
