We receive many requests for work experience from individuals and colleges. Although we are the largest employer in the borough, we have to prioritise the many requests received for work experience. This section details what is currently on offer.

    Youth Employment Scheme

    Newham has a successful work experience scheme for young people aged 16-17 (or 18 if disabled), so say yes to YES!

  • Summary of Placements

    At present we provide work placements and experience for several groups of young people in Newham.

    Trade Apprenticeships

    Newham Homes, who manage the council's housing properties, provide apprenticeships for carpenters, electricians, plasters and plumbers.
