Work Experience and Placements

Youth Employment Scheme

Newham has a successful work experience scheme for young people aged 16-17 (or 18 if disabled), so say yes to YES!
The Youth Employment Scheme (YES) provides young people aged 16-17 years old (or up to 18 if disabled), with two years work experience. Trainees also work towards an apprenticeship in either: business administration, information technology or child care.

The scheme has also been extended to provide places for young people with disabilities and those leaving local authority care.

We are currently advertising for a number of placements for this year's scheme. The closing date is Friday 24th October 2008.

For further information and to apply online go to our Jobs website.

For more general information about the scheme, download our YES PDF Brochure or click on Get in Touch tab at top for contact details.
