Our Looked After Children scheme offers a four-week placement during the summer, giving valuable skills and experience to young people about to leave care.
Newham Homes, who manage the council's housing properties, provide apprenticeships for carpenters, electricians, plasters and plumbers.
Newham has a successful work experience scheme for young people aged 16-17 (or 18 if disabled), so say yes to YES!
At present we provide work placements and experience for several groups of young people in Newham.
