    It's called the Local Development Framework or LDF. It will dramatically shape the future of the borough for the next twenty years, and it will replace the Unitary Development Plan or UDP.

    Development Control's main function is to process planning applications through to formal determination either at Planning Committee or through delegated powers. The DC Service is split into two sections - the Major Applications Team and the All Borough Team.

    To be granted planning permission you should comply with SPGs which are the detailed explanations of how the UDP and LDF policies should be applied.
