The map is being launched on Saturday 31 May at 10.00am in Meridian Square to commemorate the first known bike race which took place in Paris in 1868.

On the day the free map will be distributed and Newham residents will have the opportunity to sign up for a guided walking or cycling tour taking in the sites of the rapidly developing 2012 venues.

There will be lots of other activities taking place in the Square itself, and the event is a good way to prepare for Newham Cycle Day which takes place on Sunday 8 June at the Greenway.
