2012 is a pivotal year in which
to be the London borough of Newham's Young Mayor.
I will endorse the Olympics, promoting pride in Newham as our
local area in a worldwide setting. I will seek to inspire the 2012
Olympic values of respect and friendship to promote pride in our
local area and make it a place where people want to live, work and
stay. The Olympic values of determination and excellence are values
I will promote for young people to live and work by.
I will ensure the views of Newham's young people are heard and
spread. My passionate message about the positive impact they can
have on the borough, Britain and the world.
I will contribute to making Newham a safe place for young people
and therefore all residents. A shortage of after school and weekend
leisure activities and as well as being able to spend time together
in Newham is topic regularly discussed by my peers. Transport links
and business are developing in the area providing opportunities for
aspiring young people but, it is important to gather feedback and
views on what could be developed or further improved.
I can make decisions under pressure, in partnership. I am a role
model for my peers and I expect to be able to leave a legacy and be
able to say ''we did that during 2012"
