If I was elected Young Mayor I
would like to be the voice of all young people.
The issues that I would address would be to change people's life
for the better by ensuring them that they are safe walking on the
streets. I would offer more youth activities for older teenagers.
Such as free music studios so that young and aspiring musicians can
discover their inner artist and use their talents.
Another way that I would change young people's lives would be to
put on more events for young people as I would like to be an events
manager in creative arts one day. This would be the highlight of my
time as Young Mayor.
This would allow young people from Newham and different walks of
life to do what they do best, whether that's dancing, singing or
designing. It would also change the perception of local people as
they would see young people doing something positive within the
local community.
I would like to get the government to ask young people what they
want from their education as many of us believe that we are not
being heard. Also gang violence as it seems to be coming back into
our community and needs to be addressed as young peoples life's
should be simple and easy ; shouldn't need to worry about walking
in their own community and feeling intimidated.
