They say that "Listening is the
Key to success; we achieve more when we do so."
So as a potential Young Mayor, I am willing to listen to what you
have to say, and put those words into action.
To me, being Young Mayor is more than leading, it's being able to
give everyone an opportunity to express their opinions. I would
like to try to change the image of young people, so that they are
only seen for the good. Since the riots in early August us youths
have been marked as 'trouble makers' even though most of us weren't
involved, we are still stereotyped by the media which isn't
fair.
I would like the opportunity to represent teenagers of Newham to
prove to the government that Newham isn't full of criminals but
well educated and talented young people. Opening new activities,
jobs and events would reduce the amount of teenagers on the
road.
The Olympics Games are near, a great chance to show the world what
incredible things we can do. As an athlete myself, I have been
training for 4 years and I think I relate to the job more because
I'm not only disciplined I am hardworking and very passionate about
it.
I believe it's only fair that young people living in Newham should
get free tickets to the Olympics games.
We are the future, so let's make that future brighter for us,
starting by voting for me as your Young Mayor.
