I am running for Young Mayor of
Newham because I am passionate about the borough I live in.
Education is dear to my heart and I'm a committed individual who
would like to see more facilities for young people in
Newham:
Young people should be pulling together and become one big
family, not fighting against each other. This would be a big
achievement not just for me but for all of us.
I see this role as being the voice of all young people in Newham.
With the help and support from you, family and friends.
My promise to you will be to campaign:
- For more youth centres
- For Help centres/Forums/workshops (someone to talk to)
- Better quality uniforms at a reduced rate
- Pressure the government for more funding
- Educational grants not just for lone parents but also two
parent families
- Lower education fees
- To bring back EMA (education maintenance allowance)
I think I should be the young major of Newham because I have had
first hand experience that has helped me to become the person I am
today which is a responsible young lady who believes 'SUCCESS comes
through EFFORT and DETERMINATION'
