Mandatory nominee training: Saturday 15 October (all day, Newham Dockside, Beckton)

All nominees must attend this training day. This is a final opportunity to brush up on skills learnt and have any questions answered before the campaign period starts.

Campaigning period: Monday 17 October - Tuesday 1 November

This is when you will be communicating your vision, ideas and concerns to the young people of Newham to try and convince them that you will make the best decisions on their behalf.

Voting: Wednesday 2 November

Voting takes place in local schools and colleges, as well as Newham Town Hall and Stratford Town Hall. This is the exciting final stage of the election process with young people completing ballot papers just like they would in a municipal election.

Count and result: Thursday 3 November (from 7pm, Newham East Ham Town Hall)

Counting all of the votes will take place on the evening of Thursday 3 November. Find out the results the same evening on this website. There is limited space at this event, so if you want to attend the count itself you must have been involved in the election process as a nominee, candidate, election agent, or have helped a friend on their campaign. Nominees and candidates will be able to reserve places for guests to bring along to the count.
