Love Your Environment
I went along to Kingsford school recently to promote our local
recycling campaign with the Beckton Community Forum. It was really
great to meet loads of young people and families from the area.
That's why community events like this are so important - they bring
all of us together... |

Skills for our community
On Saturday I headed over to the Priory Park Centre to talk to
local young people about what it's like to go from full time
education to working life and how we can help them make the move.

Stratford College launch
Today
I headed over to Stratford College to help open some new facilities
and present diplomas to graduating students - a real honour to be
part of their celebration and get chance to raise awareness of the
education opportunities in Newham! |

Relaying the baton
I went to Newham Leisure Centre as part of the Queen's Baton Relay
ahead of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi - and spoke to
Christine Ohuruogu who helped me present trophies and certificates
to young athletes from Newham's schools! |

Takeover Day
Today Newham Youth Council
and Children and Young People's Board gate crashed Newham Council
as part of 11 Million Takeover Day, where young people take charge
of their local council and make the decisions! Check out what we
got up to throughout the day… |

Election Night
My last event as Young
Mayor - what an incredible atmosphere, it brought back so many
memories of this time last year. I really enjoyed talking to all
the incoming Youth Council - congratulations to all of them,
especially Kaycee and Aadilah, our new Young Mayor and
Deputy! |
