Young Mayor election night 2011

Just over 50 candidates, all vying for the chance to become the next Young Mayor of Newham, came together at East Ham Town Hall on 3 November to hear the outcome of this year's ballot.

As they eagerly awaited the result, the Young Mayor hopefuls and their guests were entertained by James Anderson and Paul Gbegbaje - two young local musicians who recently rose to fame as finalists in the hit TV show, Britain's Got Talent.
