Abraham visits the House of Commons

break
Abraham and Mr Timms

25 January, 2012

Abraham recently visited the Houses of Commons to discuss a range of youth related issues including youth unemployment, with Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP.

Mr Timms was incredibly positive about the way the Youth Council looked to address and assist issues young people of Newham face, and is keen to visit them to address these issues directly. Mr Timms asked to be kept up to date with all the activities that the Youth council will be undertaking over the coming months, and leant his support for future activities.

Abraham was also invited to assist in a research project looking at employment prospects in the area. Abraham said 'I'm really pleased that Mr Timms has decided to work more closely with myself and the Youth Council. Youth unemployment is at a all time high, any work which can support getting young people into employment or training is a great step in moving forward.'
