Newham's Young Mayor
and Deputy attend their first official engagement

Abraham Male and Wendy Zadigue have attended their first official
engagement as Young Mayor and Deputy Young Mayor of
Newham.
They were amongst a selected group of community
champions from East London, invited by Boris Johnson to celebrate
the efforts community members make in their local area at the
Mayor's Borough Reception at City Hall.
Awards were distributed to those recognised in playing a
significant role in dedicating their time and effort to making a
difference.
Abraham Male said "Events like this are a great way of recognising
the efforts individuals make in their community. It's important to
celebrate these achievements and encourage those who don't, to get
involved."
