Kaycee de Belen Young Mayor of Newham

Kaycee de Belen is the third Young Mayor of Newham. She was directly elected by and is accountable to young people. Kaycee is 16 years old and lives in Stratford. She currently attends St Angela's School in Newham where she enjoys studying and has a talent for drama.

In addition to her duties as Young Mayor, Kaycee engages in a diverse range of interests and activities. She enjoys spending some of her free time as an active volunteer at a youth centre in the local community.

Kaycee's three priority areas for the year are to tackle crime and safety, raise awareness of educational opportunities and to increase recycling and the benefits for Newham.

She regularly enjoys sport and thinks that it is a fun way to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. She currently keeps fit by taking part in a kick-boxing class. In the future Kaycee is keen to go to University and is thinking about focusing her creative energy on a career in the fashion industry.
