Royal Docks Trust LBN
Grants
The Royal Docks Trust and Newham
Council operate two joint programmes. The application process for
the main grants programme opens in winter each year and is now open
for applications for 2012/13. The closing date is 5pm on Wednesday
25 January 2012.
Application Packs are available to download here (pdf) or from
the Royal Docks Trust
website. The minor grants programme operates all year round and
applications up to £1500 can be submitted at any time throughout
the year.
The trust uses the income from its core £2,700,000 endowment to run
its programmes in partnership with the council.
Main grants up to a maximum of £30,000 can be applied for from a
budget of approximately £180,000. The average grant award in recent
years has been around £17,000, and the average number of successful
applications per year has been 11.
We administer the Royal
Docks Trust grants programmes, to which we provide a quarter of
the cost of the grants each year.
Only applications demonstrating direct benefit to residents
of the RDT area (Beckton, North Woolwich and Silvertown, Custom
House, Canning Town South and West Silvertown) are
eligible.
Following the closing date for the main grants programme on 25
January 2012, decisions will be made in March 2012 with funding
commencing from 1 April. To find out more visit the
Royal
Docks Trust website. Alternatively contact Stephen Collins in
Leisure Services where the programme is administered, on 020 8430
