- How many residents are there in Newham?
-
There are approximately 248,400 residents in Newham, according
to the 2006 Mid-Year Estimate from the Office of National
Statistics. This will be updated with the 2007 Mid-Year Estimate in
September 2008. This estimate is not believed to be accurate, as it
is lower than the 2001 mid-year population estimate. It does not
reflect the increase in housing development that has occurred since
then or the arrival of Newham's new population from the European
Union.
