The Newham Compact is a written agreement between four of
Newham's key statutory sector organisations and Newham's voluntary,
community and faith sectors (VCFS).
We make a host of public appointments to outside bodies
(external organisations), so that the interests of the people of
Newham are represented.

Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs) are essential to ensuring
that we treat everyone fairly in the delivery of our services and
the development of our strategies and policies.

We are currently reviewing our equalities schemes and will
publish a unified Newham Single Equality Scheme in the spring in
line with the current Equalities Bill.
