Officer Scheme of Delegations

The Officer Scheme of Delegation was fully reviewed and updated in February 2011. The Scheme sets out which post holders are delegated by the Authority to take certain decisions on behalf of the council.

The council and the Mayor delegate functions to Chief Officers and Deputy Chief Officers as listed in the Schemes of Delegation. In turn the Chief Officers and Deputy Chief Officers authorise other officers to act on their behalf and these are listed in the Office Schemes of Authorisation applicable for each service area.

The individual sections are available to download in PDF format. You will need to have the Adobe Reader software installed to view these documents. This can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website.
