Re-use of Public Sector Information

This applies to the use of a document held by a public sector body for a purpose other than the initial one for which it was produced.

It excludes the transfer of documents from one public authority to another but it includes completed documents, reports, geographical information, policies and environmental information - published or un-published.

Requests to use these documents must be made in writing and adhere to the following rules. They must:

  1. Be transmitted electronically
  2. Be legible
  3. Be used for subsequent reference
  4. State name of the applicant and an address for correspondence
  5. Specify the document requested

We can charge and set up a licensing agreement for the re-use of our information.
