Let's Get the Party Started

In Newham the Olympics, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and many other exciting events across the borough helped to build inspiration and bring the whole community together.

A resilient community is one where people are connected and have positive relationships with one another. We already hold lots of fun and free events like the Mayor's Newham Show, Under the Stars, and the Spring Festivals - and now we're giving you the opportunity to hold your own event - with support from the council.

If you have an idea for your own celebration, whether it's a street party, talent show or art exhibition that will bring people together - we will help you make it a reality.

All you have to do to get started is send in an application to our events team - find out more information about how to get the party started.

We can help you with our Inspiring People Grant which offers funding of up to £500. But we can also help you with road closures, getting volunteers to help you set up and give you advice about promoting your event.

Your celebration can take place anywhere in the borough and no event is too small. Come on; get your own party started in Newham 2012!
